The Wily Ones: Playful Childhood Memories and Countryside Charm in Zarja Menart’s Short Animated Film “The Wily Ones” is a delightful 5-minute and 20-second animated short directed by Zarja Menart and produced by Slovenia’s Finta Film. Gathering sweet fragments of grandparents’ memories, the film whisks viewers back to a time when the world was rich with the scent of rivers, lush forests, and open fields. It was an era when people were resilient, cows and horses were trusty sidekicks, and kids ran wild with curious freedom, constantly turning everyday chores into clever pranks and playful games.

Set in the countryside of Bela Krajina, the story brings to life a world where hard work, nature, and playful moments naturally wove together into everyday life. Through vibrant visual storytelling, the short unlocks a fascinating slice of the past for younger audiences while giving adults a warm, nostalgic glimpse into an era when people lived deeply connected to the land and their community.

The Wily Ones: Ký ức tuổi thơ nghịch ngợm và làng quê qua phim hoạt hình ngắn của Zarja Menart

“The Wily Ones” là bộ phim hoạt hình ngắn dài 5 phút 20 giây do Zarja Menart đạo diễn, được thực hiện bởi Finta Film tại Slovenia. Tác phẩm nhặt thạnh từng mảnh ký ức của thế hệ ông bà, đưa người xem trở về những ngày mà thế giới còn đậm mùi sông núi, rừng cây và đồng ruộng. Ở thời điểm đó, con người sống kiên cường, trâu bò hay ngựa là những người bạn đồng hành tin cậy, còn đám trẻ con thì tha hồ chạy nhảy với đủ trò nghịch ngợm, biến việc nhà thành những trò đùa hóm hỉnh.

Thông qua bộ phim, tác giả tái hiện lại những câu chuyện từ vùng đất Bela Krajina, nơi lao động, thiên nhiên và sự vui chơi đan cài tự nhiên vào cuộc sống thường nhật.
