Designed like a public archive, every single page hits hard with bold black headlines spanning wide across the sheet. The high-contrast combo of dark ink on raw gray newsprint really makes the authentic photos of the migrants’ journeys stand out. The spacious pacing of the layout naturally encourages readers to slow down and connect with each story on a deeper level.
From a technical standpoint, the layout relies on a super tight column grid. Short copy blocks sit right next to heavy, oversized display typography, creating awesome visual contrast. Smaller subheads paired with delicate rules keep the analytical essays crisp and organized. Plus, generous white space and wide margins give dense paragraphs room to breathe, making the whole reading experience feel light and effortless.

Lines Breaking: Tờ báo khổ lớn đầy sức nặng của Underline Studio về cuộc khủng hoảng di cư
Underline Studio vừa ra mắt ấn phẩm tiếp theo trong chuỗi dự án báo chí của mình mang tên Lines Breaking. Tờ báo khổ lớn (broadsheet) lần này tập trung vào một chủ đề vô cùng nhức nhối: cuộc khủng hoảng người di cư tại Trung Mỹ, qua góc nhìn và câu chuyện của các nghệ sĩ, nhà văn khắp khu vực Mỹ La-tinh.
Được thiết kế như một hồ sơ lưu trữ công cộng, từng trang báo gây ấn tượng mạnh với những dòng tiêu đề đen nổi bật trải rộng trên mặt giấy. Sự kết hợp giữa mực đen và chất giấy báo xám tạo nên độ tương phản cao, làm nổi bật những bức ảnh chân thực về hành trình của người di cư. Nhịp điệu dàn trang mở rộng giúp người đọc chậm lại và cảm nhận sâu sắc hơn câu chuyện của từng nhân vật.
Về mặt kỹ thuật dàn trang, dự án áp dụng một hệ thống lưới cột (column grid) cực kỳ chặt chẽ.
