A Closer Look at the Background Design for the Animated Short TIÊ

Set deep within the wild, this emotional journey follows a Brazilian tanager (tiê-sangue). From a peaceful life full of love and a cozy little nest, everything gets completely turned upside down when human hands destroy the habitat. Torn away from nature and thrown into captivity, this little bird faces fear, loneliness, and memories of a lost freedom. But then, a familiar melody echoing from afar sparks hope once again—even if the distance between them still feels impossibly vast.

TIÊ is a beautiful, deeply moving animated short film about love, loss, captivity, and the ultimate longing for freedom. The project shines a sensitive light on the devastating realities of the Atlantic Forest’s destruction and the illegal wildlife trade. It’s a brief yet profound story that leaves a lasting impression about what humanity steals from nature—and the things that can never truly be given back.

Giữa bối cảnh thiên nhiên hoang dã, câu chuyện kể về hành trình đầy cảm xúc của một chú chim tiê-sangue. Từ một cuộc sống yên bình với tình yêu đôi lứa và tổ ấm nhỏ, mọi thứ bỗng chốc đảo lộn hoàn toàn khi môi trường sống bị tàn phá bởi bàn tay con người. Bị tách khỏi thế giới tự nhiên và rơi vào cảnh giam cầm, chú chim phải đối mặt với nỗi sợ, sự cô đơn cùng ký ức về những tháng ngày tự do đã mất. Nhưng rồi, một giai điệu quen thuộc vang lên từ phía xa đã thắp lại ngọn lửa hy vọng — dù cho khoảng cách giữa họ vẫn còn quá xa vời.

Tiê là một bộ phim hoạt hình ngắn đầy ý nghĩa về tình yêu, sự mất mát, sự giam cầm và khát vọng tự do. Tác phẩm mang đến một góc nhìn trực diện và tinh tế về thực trạng tàn phá rừng Mata Atlântica cũng như nạn buôn bán động vật hoang dã trái phép. Một câu chuyện tuy ngắn nhưng đọng lại nhiều suy ngẫm về những gì con người tước đoạt từ tự nhiên và những giá trị có thể chẳng bao giờ bù đắp lại được.
